Identify

The foundation begins by uncovering and preserving traditional knowledge from ethnic and tribal communities. For example, we collaborated with the Malayali tribal community to systematically document their vast repository of indigenous medicinal practices, particularly their use of local plants for dermatological conditions.

  • Challenge: This knowledge, passed down through generations, faces the risk of being lost due to lack of documentation and scientific validation.
  • Action: Through ethnobotanical investigations, we identified plants with therapeutic potential for managing burns and wounds, creating a foundation for further exploration.
